These requests were not granted as there can be no change of registration after the registration books close i month before election. The registra tion books for the November election will open Monday and be kept open until 80 days before the general eleo tlon. Several voters were much dls- (listed when they discovered they had not registered at all. 23 Double Boards Twenty-two of the 88 precincts have double boards. The second board will start counting at one o'clock this afternoon, and some at ten o'clock In the morning. These double boards are stationed In the lsrgest precincts of the county, and the count as far as It has progressed will be available when the polls close at eight o'clock tonight. Three double boards are Installed In the Ashland Boulevard, Southeast, and Northeast precincts, In all but North Central and East precincts of this city. and In Jacksonville, Central Point, Eagle Point, Perrydale, West Phoenix and Roxy Ann. The count then ought to show the trend of the vote Sot the county offices, except where It Is exceptionally close. PORTLAND.
