Removed by several blocks from the main business section, the high school offers an Ideal location for the ahow, one to which gueat may drive, In which they may congregate In great numbers, and linger among the blossoms without lnconvenlenc Ing others. The gymnasium la well ventilated, provided with front and side en trances, which will be opened to the public, and lots of apace for the artistic arrangement of displays. The Oarden club membera were rejoicing yesterday over the willing ness of the school people to co operate In making the 1932 showing of Medford flowers a thing of true beauty, unhampered by lack of room and business Interferences. The display possibilities and loca tion of the gymnasium will enable the ,club to give flower lovers ot Medford a garden event In keeping with the precedent established by the many larger clubs of the coast. Oregon Mothers Make Reoort of Campus Week-end Oregon mothers at their meeting In Oerllnger hall Saturday, May 7, at the University of Oregon, elected Mrs, Jacob Kanzler of Portland president of the organization for the year 1933- S3, to succeed Mrs. F. W. Bond of Portland. Mra. J. F. Hill of Portland waa elec ted vice-president; Mrs. G. E. Swaf ford, Oregon City, treasurer; and Mrs. Marian Phy Ager, Eugene, executive secretary. The secretary will be ap pointed by the president. Members of tha executive com mittee were named as follows: Mrs. A. W. Norblad, Astoria, to retire in 1033; Mra. John L. The highlight of the Junior Week end and Mother's Day festivities on the campus came Saturday afternoon In the unveiling of the "Pioneer Mo ther" statute, gift to the University of Burt Brown Barker, vice-president. The unveiling ceremony waa per formed by Barbara Barker, daughter of the donor, assisted by Anne Klat ner, Beth Ann Johnson. Margaret Goodrich, and Helen Templeton, Arnold Bennett Hall, president of the University, presided at the cere monies, and read a letter from Presi dent Hoover .to Mr. Barker, com mending him upon his gift to the University. Boggs, princess royal, and members of the chorus, completed the cecoratlona. The chorus members, all of whom were from Grants Pass, were wel comed tn a song by the patrol and a toast by Mrs. Boggs. Following luncheon the temple membera continued to the Masonic hall, which was converted Into garden, where hawtv e splrea and Iris grew, for the occasion. Klein entertained the Pythian Slater club at her attractive home at 534 North Barlett street, which waa tastefully decorated with flowra and potted plants. In the absence of the presi dent, Miss Cora Judge, the vice-presi dent, Mlaa Cecil Sullivan, took charge of the business meeting, after which the guests enjoyed a social game of bridge. Box Supper, Social To Be Held Monday The women of the Sacred Heart Catholic church will be hostesses at a festive benefit on Monday evening. Phoenix Class Given Party at Nordqulsts. Mrs. Cecil Nordqulst waa hostess Thursday afternoon from 3.30 to 4:30 to mecbera of the first grade of the Phoenix school, of which her twin son and daughter, Floyd and Frances, are membera. The Hansons formerly lived in Medford and Mrs. Hanson Is espec ially well remembered by women's club groups as Instigator of the formation here of a college women's club and organtrer of the first Parent-Teacher association.
