The shower was held at the home of the bride's mother, 1016 Reddy avenue. There were 23 guests pres ent. Miss Puhl was assisted as host ess by Mrs. Prank Redden and Mrs. Georgia Franklin, sister of the bride. Many lovely gilts were received by the honor guest. Ralades Visiting In Southern City. Mrs. L. A. Salade and Mrs. L. A. Salade, Jr., returned from San Fran cisco,, after a several days' stay in the bay city, where they were guests at Hotel Sir Francis Drake. Miss Drury Returns Home Miss Barbara Drury. who attended the Kappa Alpha Theta formal dance at the University of Oregon campus Saturday, returned to Med lord on t.ie Bhasta last evening. Miss Drury Is a member of the sorority. Mrdfnrd Women Attend , Grants Pass Lodge Session A large representation from Reames Chapter, O. E. S., attended the meet ing In Grants Pass Wednesday even ing at which members of the neigh boring lodge entertained the seven chapters of southern Oregon: Klam ath Fails. Ashland. Jacksonville, Cen tral Point, Kerby, Glen date and Medford.- The Masonic hall of Grants Pass was beautifully arranged with a gen erous display of purple Iris and pink and yellow tulips decorating each table. A Mothers' day program was pre sented and a life membership In the lodge extended Mrs. Josephine Crock er, past wortiy grand matron and mother of Josephine chapter. Musi cal entertainment was also enjoyed and refreshments served at the close of the meeting. In the group of guests from the Ashland chapter were J. H. Mrs. Swig-art Returns From Stay In South Mrs. Carl Swlgart returned In the Shasta yesterday from a week's stay in San Francisco, where Mr. Swlgart Is now located In business. While In the south she also spent two days with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Ayres at the Ayres ranch. La Dera, out from Los Qatos. Women's Greater Oregon Association to Meet Mrs. Glen Fabrick. err : of the Medford branch of t Women's Greater Oregon association, is calling a special meeting of women Inter ested In the association for Saturday afternoon. May 7, at the Hotel Med ford. ' The meeting will open at 2:30 o'clock. Women's Club Honors Mathers at Parly Twenty-five members and mothers attended the party given last even ing by the Business and professional Women's club at the Y. W. C. A., honoring Mothers' day. Rev. W. R. Baird of the First Chris tian church entertained with several clever readings, which were much en Joyed. Mrs. Eunice Hillls, well known local soloist, entertained with three numbers and Mrs. J times Milne play ed a group of piano selections. The program was followed by serv ing of refreshments. Mrs. Belva Ai ken, chairman of the program and other arrangements for the evening, was assisted by various members of the club. Two Recent Weddings Announced Here The month of June Is still many days distant, but wedding bells are already ringing for several local folk, There are weddings Just In the off ing, and several were solemnized during this and the past week. Among the most recently announced is that of Miss Alma Bell of Santiago, Cal., and Albert E. Col lings of Applegate, who were married Wednesday morn ing at a simple ceremony attended by a few relatives and friends, in the parlors of the Grand hotel, Rev, Geo. p. Kabele, D. D., officiating. April 25, at the parsonage of the Zlon English Lutheran church. Rev. Kabele united In marriage Miss Ella Mae Catron and Dr. Wm. W. Ooode, both of Sacramento, Cal. Many Festivities Planned For Mothers at Oregon. Mothers of students at the Uni versity of Oregon, many of whom are leaving this city today for Eu gene, will be royally entertained on the campus this week-end, accord ing to reports of the program plan ned In their honor. A campus luncheon will be held at McArthur court tomorrow noon.
