The San Francisco Seals were two up on Hollywood today In the pres ent series, although the Stars re duced the margin of victory to one run last night as the Seals won, 7-6. Sarpolls took the first fall in 18 minutes, 9 second, with a flying body scissors. Thye came back to take the second In 11 minutes, 61 sec onds, with a wrlstlock and head scis sors after paving the way with shoul der butts. A mlxup outside the ring was re sponsible for Thye dropping the final fall. After tossing Sarpolls outside the ring with a wrlstlock, Thye Jumped out after him, but Sarpolls beat him to It with a flying body scissors. Thye was stunned when he hit the bare boards, but managed to crawl back Into the ring before being counted out. Sarpolls ended It with rabbit punches and head scissors. PORTLAND, OREGON Difficulties encountered by fish In making the ladder at Savage Rapldi dam were greatly exaggerated In re cent reports here, according to Ed Walker ot the game division of the state police. There is no chicken wire Interfering with the progress of the flJh, he stated today, the trouble Is purely one of too much water, the ladder having been constructed to operate more successfully during low water. Officials are on duty at the dam and IB arrests have been made, the cases Including gaffing of fish, fish ing without license and fishing with two poles. The most recent vio lators of the game law arrested were two Grants Pass men, found with two gunny sacks of salmon taken from the dam. Their trials have been set for Saturday. Pish, when migrating, travel tn bands, It was pointed out today re garding the ladder problem, and un less the leader finds the way over the ladder none of his company will make the trip. Experiment axe be ing made at the dam to aid the migration- and It Is hoped that the wrangling regarding the situation will cease before a movement la started to close the Rogue to fishing for a distance of one mile and a half below the dam. A few fish are now being caught at Savage Rapids and the lowering of the water line is expected to bring fine fishing for the week-end. A large run of salmon is reported In the lower Rogue.
