C3 Oallforntans are making a close study of the Oregon game code In order to Improve their program for the conservation and propagation ot wild life, according to Earl B. Ollmore, president of the Ollmore Oil com- nanv .nil member of the California game commission, who was a recent vleltor In the northwest. He said that approximately a half-million u censes were sold there each year and the money obtained from this source, plus revenue derived from special game Uses, amounted to 1,300,000 annually. "If for no other reason, that feature has prompted us to study the Oregon program carefully and to sponsor the policy of building and operating bird sanctuaries and fish hatcheries." Questioned ooncernlng tne possi bility of future gasoline wars, Oll more said that the country would always experience such unsteady price situations from time to time until the taw of supply and demand equalizes. He said that the same price situation pertains to lumber and food Industries when the supply exceeds the demand. Ollmore said that his concern was making special effort at this time to protect the interests of the Inde pendent dealer. The Ollmore Oil company Is, at the present time, sup plying gasoline and motor oil to 6000 Independent dealers on the Faclflo coast and officials of the concern are constantly working with the dealers to enable them to operate the entire year at a reasonable profit. If CALLED TO REST Martha Carol In McClung, wife of Herschel McClung phased away at their home, 915 Beck man street, early this morning, following an nines of a. few weeks. She wai born In With county, Missouri, May 37, 1878, and had re sided In Medford for the past eight years. Besides her husband, she leaves her aged parents. Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Tonoe of Montague, Oal., four sons, Ohas, O. Olllman, by a former marriage; Boyd, George and Raymond McClung ot Medford, and one sister and two brothers, Bertie Hammond, Oakland, Ore., Marlon and Oeorge Tonoe of California. The body Is at the Conger parlors and services under the auspices ot the Apostolic Faith, of which ah was a member, will be later announced. IS. TEMPLE IS TAKEN BY DEATH Word was received In Medford Wed nesday evening of the death In Port land of Mrs. Temple, wife of Rev. T. H. Temple, former pastor ot the First Methodist church of Medford. Mrs. Temple has suffered 111 health fo. many months and her passing was not a surprise to those who knew of her serious Illness. The body will be brought to Medford by Rev. Tem ple, arriving Sunday morning, and a brief service will be held at the Con ger chapel at 3:30 that day, by Rev. A. O. Bennett, assisted by Rev. Bel knsp and Shepherd, regular services being held In Portland. Interment will be in the Medford I. O. O. P. cemetery. CLASS PLAY TO "Adam and Eve," a story of mod ern times, written by the English play writers, Bolton and Mlddleton, has been selected by the senior class for their annual senior play, to be given at the high school on May The eenoor class will use the money received from this plsy to partly de fray expenses of graduation. The cast includes ten of the moat experienced players: Harold Oe Bauer, Adra Edwards, Max Carter Carol Dodge, Bob Kelson, Carvel Reames, Cecil Cshlll, Helen Idmls ton, Douglas Pinch and Oeorge Bennett.
