Harry Hansen, Dr. R. C. Mulholland, Heine Schwar aenhola and hosta of otbers. when to go for a coke for more thsn half the past decade, are still today and the populace la crying. "Somebody wind the Jackson County Bank clock." The cry of dissatisfaction, which started last week end, when the clock's hands failed to pass the 6:30 mark, assumed greater proportions this morning and the futile craning of necks was supplanted by a general uproar, which far excels the murmur. Ing which marked closing of the bank. Several auggestlons and recommen dations have been made, all demand ing operation of the faithful time piece. Some ask that the city rinrnea operation of the electric clock, others that It be moved to a new location. The latest solution advanced to re porters, asks that the power company furnish the electricity required to keep the clock ticking. No answers have been voiced try the proposed donors of time, and the pre diction la that many people will be late to work again tomorrow. Portland. Ralph B. Lloyd.
