Unable to mobilize their forces last night, they announc ed postponement of the much antici pated match and Issued an Invitation ta the ladles to attend next week as participants of spectators. If one will bring a epeUlngbook, it will b much Appreciated, they added this morning. A more ambitious program Is out lined as a result of the postponement, and more difficult words will be fired at the two teams, who will be well fed at the close of the tournament. .The spelling committee stands aa originally announced, composed of Del ray Oetohell, Oui Newbury and Court Hall, .Refreshments for the evening will be prepared by Lewis Ulrlch, the Jodge's big cheese and cracker man. The spelling match will oe held fallowing the business session, dur ing which the Lady Elks will meet In the club room for cards and bil liard i. The members of the ladles' attend ance committee are Mrs. O. 0. Lem mon, Mrs. Joe Fllegel and Mrs. Don .Newbury. Following the business ses sion of the lodge they will be In vited to join the Elks for the spelling match, and will be Invited to par ticipate aa members of the trams, or act as witnesses. The evening will bo climaxed by an Informal dance nd refreshments, the latter of which it Is predicted will be much needed when Messrs, Newbury and Hall are through defending their titles as southern Oregon's best spellers. One week from next Thursday night installation of officers will be held At the lodge. It wss announced last night. The usual festive entertain ment and crab feed will be leatured And Joe Fllegel, newly elected exalted ruler, and his supporting staff, will take, command of the lodge.
