brief resume of the latest events In
the history of the countries studied
last year, was followed In each case
by current events and discussion.
The countries considered were: China
with Its problems of civil war, famine

Russia; her irrigation projects for
relief work and the probability that
all warring factions will unite to free
China from Japanese aggression;
India and Ghandl, names that are
almost synonymous, the influence he
has gained by passive resistance,
which no armed force could have ac
complished, also his plea, that free
dom is every nation's birthright.
Russia Is modifying her economic
rulings and equality of labor is abol
ished. Skilled labor is doing piece
work, and large salaries are paid to
experts. The government's attempts
to better the living conditions do not
meet with great success. It was
brought out in the program.

ing trouble over the question of Jew
