The moat Important matter die cussed was action of the MM ford elty council of last Tuesday night In re fusing to adopt the amendment to the city milk ordinance which would prevent the sale of 0 and O grades of milk. There wae a full dlsouaslon on this action, the portent of which wai that the association feela that the dairy men need protection as well aa the general public and that the amend ment they had asked for was justi fied. The discussion also showed that the association was no through yet, and that another effort will be made by the association to Influence he city council to adopt this amend- ment. At the next council meeting a delegation from the association will present further arguments to have the desired teeth put Into the ord inance. A matter also car.o up at last night's meeting, and received with much satisfaction wae the reports , that the local dairymen are getting attractive bids from outetde buyers, including 6an PrancUoo and other coast points, for cream. In fact Oua Prevert of Crescent City, manager of the Del Norte Product company, with plants at Orescent City and Smith River, In California, and which la an adjunct of the Oolden Oate Creamery company of Saa Pranclaoo, was present at the meeting and made offers. However, the matter of out side offers waa only taken under consideration at the meeting.
