she soon recovers.
CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK.
Ore. (Special) Although the peak of
the tourist season was passed some
time ago and preparations are being
made for wintry weather, Crater
Lake continues to attract a steady
stream ot visitors from all parts of
the nation. The number is neces
sarily smaller than It was a month
ago.
During the past few days, three
eastern hitch hikers arrived and
while all were making a tour of na
tional parks in the west, they were
not traveling together. One hailed
from Philadelphia. Another came
from Chicago and the third gave his
home as Albany, N. Y. The hikers
were In their early twenties, were-
neatly attired and carried military
packs on their shoulders. They said
they had little trouble In catching
rides across the continent and from
park to park.
