(AP) Gathered from the four corners of the state, legionnaires of Oregon were hem today for the opening of the annual American Legion three day convention. All preliminary ar rangements were completed last night by executive committees. Hundreds of legion delegates and Viclr wives, auxiliary and 40 ct 8 representatives and visitors swarmed over the city which was gaily decor ated for the event. The first day registration was believed to bo the largest of any state meeting. The fun organi?4itlon, the 40 et 8, ruled the convention todav.
