pondent feels that a few lines of

amiss. It was hoped that Hems

training program mapped out this
x year has kept every one here
i almost too busy for letter writing.
Excellent weather has prevailed
3 here with tho exception of the
: first several days. Today we took
a 10-mile hike In conjunction with
working out a war problem against
i an imaginary enemy and as a re-
suit early evening finds mmt of
i our boys more ;ior less tired out,
but none the worse for wear or
tear. Physically, our boys from
Medford are standing up fine and
very few have answered "sick
'J call, and those few who have
j Mad minor ailments caused princi
3 pally from "over eating" or colds;

i ago when he gave a lecture to the
I entire regiment on Calisthenics,

; only exercises control in drill

poral in charge. This year every
I member of both companies has
j a trunk locker, which enables
him to take much better care of

j this year and instead of eating
' out of the old time-worn mess
kits the company purchased a
; brand new complete set of porce
; lain dishes, so the boys aro eat-
ing in more or less stylo now
and like it much bettor than the
old way. And besides this im-
provement a new two-oven kitchen
range was purchased by Company
