The films which were taken by Mr. Voung in British Columbia por trayed the scenic grandeur of this "sportsmnns' paradise" and prov ed a revelation to those who view ed them for the first time. ' Some splendid footage of the hunting und fishing advantages was shown including many shots of moose, bear, caribou, mountain gnats and smaller came with which this favored region abounds. Fishing scenes showing . salmon runs, trout streams and other puinta of Interest kept the Rotary fishermen on the edge of their seats as they viewed these unique films.' In connection with the pic ture presentation, Mr. Young gave an interesting talk. Henry Manny of Seattle, former northwest district governor of Ro tary, gave a short talk on Rotury in foreign countries and announc ed that plans were being perfect ed to hold the 1032 convention of Rotary International in Seattle. Carl Grant, district manager of the Metropolitan Life Insurnnce Co., was introduced as a new member of tho local Rotary club during the meeting which was at tended by a largo number of local and visiting Rotarlana. A report of the recent "Admiral Byrd show" was made by Ted Baker and developed that this nation-wide attraction not only proved self-sustaining but resulted In a small profit for the post. Plans for a big "smoker" were announc ed for Monday, February 9, by Dan Howard, chairman, and all World War veterans are urged to plan now to attend. A special in vitation is also extended to all G. A. Ft., Spanish-American war veter ans and other ex-service men. A mOBt entertaining feature of the evening's program was a re cital of "Hlg Moments" in the World War by n number of local veternns. Each man called upon gave his "big moment" and some Interesting narratives developed, some being humorous and others being full of thrills.
