Neah-Kah-nie Group Pleases Society at Concert Tuesday One of .the most pleasing events In local society during the past week was the appearance here of the Neah-kah-nle string quartet, talented group of artists, brought to St. Mark's guild hall through the efforts" of 'several prominent members of Medford society. The concert was attended by a large and appreciative audience from the ranch colony and local groups. Several dinner parties, preceded the concert and formal gowns ex pressive of the present mode added much color to the occasion. A program of difficult numbers wns mastered by the four artists, who held their crowd on a superior plane from opening to close of the concert, which was followed by two delightful little compositions of a lighter character. Outstanding In the group Was Michel Penha, violin-cellist, who played with such a confident, air, the audience was entranced with his perfect mastery as well as the rich tones brought from the great Instrument.
