The Week's Society Happenings Edited By Eva Nealon Miss Wiley Becomes Bride of Mr. Riddle at Lovely Ceremony Miss Elizabeth Wiley, laughter of Mrs. C. J. Rttilly of Los Angeles nnd William Howard Riddle, son of Mrs. Mayme E. Riddle of Med forti were married at 8 o'clock Friday evening at an impressive ceremony read by Rev. Alexander O. Bennett of the First Methodist Episcopal church on the spacious lawn of Big Rock lodge on Rogue river, country home of the groom's uncle, Wm. F. Isaacs. Guests were the immediate relatives and friends of the bridal couple. Lighting effects, suspended from the trees, cast light and shadows about the lawn leading down to the river as the bride, attired in grounds to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march, played on the pipe organ, and broudcust from station KMED for the wed ding. She wore no veil and carried a nhower bouquet of rosebuds and lllies-of-the-valley. Her matron of honor, Mrs. C. H. Best, wore a dress of orchid chiffon print and carried a bouquet of sweetpeas. The groom's attendant was Frank Perl. Following the ceremony a recep tion was held with Miss Fiances Kinney and Miss Tess Merrell as sisting the hostess, Mrs. Riddle, after which the bride and groom left for a motor trip to coast points. They will return to be at home to their friends at tiOti South Central. Out of town guests at the wed ding were Mr. und Mrs. Norman Men-ell and children of Oakland, who will return to their home Monday. Miss Brommer Gives Luncheon for Guest Miss Fredericka Brommer is among members of the local younger set who entertained dur ing the past week for Miss Mar garet Coates of Albany, who is a Medford guest. Miss Brommer was hostess at a luncheon, fol lowed by bridge Friday after noon.
