Marion Sowash and Dudley Kates came home Monday from a two Weeks vacation at the Belk nap mineral springs. They re turned by way of Silver Lake where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ferns and family. Mrs. Kuth Hart and two chil dren of Medford visited Mr. Hart's parents in Talent during the week. Mrs. L. Wagoner of Wyoming, 111., visited Mr. and' Mrs. W. 13. Kowley over the week:end. Mrs. Wagon is making a- tour of the western states. Mrs. Kiwis Orey of Medford vis ited her son W. K. Rowley, Mon day. Lyle Tome of the Talent auto park, is adding another building to the campground, to he used as living quarters for themselves. A shower bath and laundry is being added also. A game of baseball between Talent and the Medford Mail Tri bune, was played Sunday. The score was 10-9 In favor of Tal ent, i Army worms are Infesting quite a number of Talent farms. The alfalfa fields are being injured to the greatest extent, although gar dens are being eaten by them in some places. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Estes and daughter Faye, spent the week end at Hyatt lake, fishing. Others from Talent at the lake were Miss Ada Hackler, In company with n friend from Medford and Frank Spieer of Talent. W. K. Lamb is harvesting his firte crop of apricots this week. Several truck loads have been taken to Klamath Falls, the price ranging from 26 to five cents per pound at the orchard. .; Vern Spear bad the misfortune to get his thumb badly inured while playing boll Suna&y after noon. " - The many friends of Mrs. Rich ardson of this city were grieved ' to hear of the accident at Rogue River that caused a broken collar bone when she was hit by n car as she stepped from the bus, as she was returning home from a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Bird sie. Lawrence and Orvall Burnette returned from a trip to Klamath county, where they were seeking work in haying but was informed they were one week too early as the haying had not commenced. Mrs. O. L. Bullen, in company with M rs. Try on and M rs. Mae Lowe, motored to Portland where Mrs. Try on nnd Mrs. Lowe will visit, while Mrs, Bullen will go to Vancouver to meet her son Al vin, at the citizens' training camp. Friends are glad to hear that Mr. Tonn is able to sit up In his wheel -chair outdoors most of the day now, Clyd Plymiro of Loa Angeles Is visiting has mother, Mrs. Chns, Wilkinson, at Dead Indian soda springs- Mrs. Wilkinson is expecting- her daughter and husband ' from California soon. Mr. and Mrs. Chlyholm of Kalm ath Falls came over Wednesday to enjoy a couple of weoka vacation , at Dead Indian soda springs and other points of interest in this part of the country. Wm. Hoefft and Mr. Wyant were busy Wednesday building a swim ming pond. They expect to im prove it more soon. Several different parties picnlck ' ed In Lake Creek park Sunday. Hill Almy and Harry Tonn made a business trip to Medford Wed nesday. Mr. Wyant received word of his brother-in-law, Ralph Allen's death In southern California.
