(Special)- Fourth of July wasn t a very enjoyable day for Omer Culy, who was taken suddenly ill that morning and rushed to the community hospital at Med ford, where he was operated on for appendicitis by Doctor R, W. The D'M. Cleveland family spent the week end at Iake o' tho Wonds. The band concert Wednesday evening was attended by a large and appreciative audience. Kind ladles served a treat of lemonade and cake after the program. Some of our public-spirited high school boys have spent two days this week shingling and lattlicing the bandstand. It Is a much need ed improvement. The park is now attractively bordered by Shasta dainy blooms, John Reed, who was recently in jured by a falling tree, Is enjoying a visit from his wife and his father and mother of Long Beach, Cal.
