Five In structors are in charge of the work at the summer -session. - Obituary McDONALD Funeral service for Meldrum Cressey McDonald was held at tho t Perl Funeral Home yesterday at 2;3p p. m., with Rev. Watterman, Wig Antipole. Sam Kroschell, Ralph Jennings and Paul Wright. The officers of Medtord Lodge No. 1168, B. P. O. E. delivered the burial service at the grace ,in the Medford cemetery. 1 RUCH Casper MitcDell Ruch pasged away at Ruch, Oregon, a town named by "him many years ngo, Tuesday morning after a Ions illness. Mr. Ruch was born In the Ruch district, on the Little Apple gate river, May 8, 1865, and was aged at death, 65 years, one month and two days. His parents died in 1873, when ho was a child of eight years, and he spent his early life at the home of tho late William Ray, until 189s6. He attended the Drake school, now called tho Ruch school, and in 1800, after leaving the Ray pluco he established a mercantile store for tho convenience of the people living In his district. This storo celebrated its 34th anniver sary In May of this year, and in May, 1898, 32 years ago, he was appointed postmaster, a position he has held continuously. Mr. Ruch was truly a pioneer of this country, and a man of Christian character, living through all of the hazards which confront ed the white man, and helping with the development of the coun try. Anna Boylan was married to Casper Ruch Juno 11, J 9 13 at Medford, Oregon, and survives with Ms two brothers, Fred Ruch of Medford and Henry Ruch of Independence, Oregon.
