Duller anil butterfut prices hit the-1

day. aii ijrmico in uuiiiT were re
duced one cent and butterfut two I
cents. This makes extras in but
ter 33c nnd butterfut 31c delivered
Portland, the lowest prices record
ed in a lone time. Receipts have
been accumulating beyond reason
able storage facilities.
Egg prices wero weak, but no
changes wore announced. Some re
ductions have been reported by in
dependent sellers here nnd there,
but the co-operatives, who control
60 per cent of tho output, have held
their quotations firm.
All fruits apples, cantaloupes
and strawberries, In particular
met with good demand, and the
market was firm. Strnkvherrlos
wore in Unlit supply, partly due
to removal of olio full carload of
local berries, from Portland to
Puget Sound points. Kurrollcrs
and canners have been able to ob
tain only limited supplies yet, due
lo tho active- demand for fresh
berries.
Tho standard salad vegetables
lettuce and tomatoes are more
plentiful, and aro cheaper. Green
peas are arriving from The Dalles
and Rosoburg mostly, but local
peas will replnco these soon. Sup
plies aro light, and prices .rather
high, HVj-lOc per lb. to retailen.
