An other advertising feature which has proved beneficial is the work being done by the dealer's service man whose business it is to call personally upon the retailers, ac quainting them with the campaign us well ns .the characteristics of the pear itself. The -ripe appear-' ance of the fruit on the auction floor and. the Hose Hign displayed over the fruit ore also mentioned as being valuable Ileitis in adver tising. The Detroit committee also states that this publicity has tend ed to give the Hose pear from the .Medford district a .refined intro duction to the trade and people of Detroit which has proven very beneficial so far and will he of great value another season.
