DEATH IS PUZZLE ; The. body oi Frank Kennedy Abel, found on a lonely slope of Itoxey Anno last Friday, will prob ably bo buried In tho Medford f. O. F. cemetery," according to Coroner H. W. Conger, who re ceived advice from relatives in Canada lust Saturday. Due to the fact that Abel had no known .friends in' Medford, fore- staling any possiblo attendance at funeral services, it is probable the body will be quietly tiiken to the cemetery without ceremony. A funeral oration may bo given by some' local minister, but it would reach only the nttentlvu ears of the attending undertakers. The coroner's office learned Saturdny that Abel had engaged a room in a lodging house on Front street February 22 for two nights. Ho slept there one night and left the next morning, appar ently in - search of work. One of the roomers at tho house had a fairly long conversation with Abel the evening before he left, on the front porch. He seemingly hnd1 plans of returning to the house In the evening, but he never canio back. He was among the list of the missing until J. J. Baker, orchard laborer, found the body in the- woodland on tlu southeast slope of Jtoxcy Anne while hunting for a bee tree, seven miles from Medford on the Otis Garrett homestead projicrty at the end of long winding, poorly kept hill road. Authorities were still puzzled why Abel had walked so far out of; his way into of. region where farms are 'scarce and work even more rore.
