(Contributed) Tlie importance of musical training is becoming more evident every day. Music teachers, school teachers, educators, social workers and ministers are expressing theift selves m very forceful . terms as to the facta being developed, that prove the necessity' of;, giving chil dren a musical training.. : , ii ' Those-who have luvustigaUHl tho prize contest, of the Guln.nn.cn company, being conducted 'locally by thu Palmer Music: House, have found many interesting things that deserve consideration. Clayton Isaac has been showing projected pictures and talking on the subject and there Is one remark which is outstanding: "It is not what the child can do with music but what music can do for the child." An other im: "The richest child Is poor without musical training." The contest now in progress was suggested and put into action for the purpose of getting a great number of people thinking about the value of music. The piano has been used as it represents the uni versal musical instrument and has so many important parts in every musical expression. The piano to bo given away is looked upon by the Palmer Music House as n pro per compensation for the winner and appropriate to the subject covered by the contest. Many things could be said In the interest of this campaign but it would be better for each person interested to get the facts first hand from the Palmer Music House and then start writing the letter. The Judges who Will be an nounced in the near future will consider first, the number of rea sons why a child should have a musical education; second, the soundness of these reasons; third, neatness of the. letter. Only one prize will be given in one family. Get together now and start your letter now. f !,OS A.VJKLKS, Oct. 23. tfP "Dvnamite" (Jus Sonnenberg. nurs ing a hplu lip and a bruised nose, ff3 SET FIGHT DATE trio!, hro ri'ii"i'sU'l I" lit i ' ' ' 1 TnipiMTS. vVllnitiloil! ko!;uk 'mvK.rvAu'.HY !
