T.) today, were ordered to land at 6 o'clock to night by the National Air Der by association, sponsoring their flight. SPOKANK. Wash.. Aug. UU. A1) The airplane. Spokane Sun (Jot!, arrived over its home port at today, completing the first trans continental non-stop round trip flight. Thousands of persons cheered Pi lots Nick Mainer and Art Vlker as they flew over Foils field alter making a refueling fliuht to New York over a south route by way of San Francisco and returning over a northern route. The plane had covered approxi mate 72(M'0 miles and had been in the air 115 hours and 45 minute when It arrived here. When Mainer and Walker would land was :st:ll uncertain. Future plans were to be discussed with sponsors of the flight by means of messages ex changed over Felts Held. Ilesides being the first plane to liave flown on a non-stop round trip flight across the continent, the Spokane Sun (!od set a new record in covering 7-00 lineal miles with out a stop.
