Add j sifted dry Ingredient w alternately . with the milk to the creamed mix ture. Heat in vanilla, add a small amount of pink coloring, then told in ckk whiten beaien stiff. 1 Sake ill three round layers at 37o to 3!So decrees for about !iu niinute. Add liquid and dry innlerlals alternate ly to the creamed mixture beating well. Add prunes lant, stirring them In. (take in a shallow loafj pan JO to u5 minutes at Ju de grees. Cut in squares and serve with whipped cream when slightly warm or ice with prune icing when cool, decorating with thin strips of uncooked prunes and apricots. Angel l"ood Cake 1 cups egg whites. 1 teaspoon cream of tartar. teaspoon salr; 1 cups sugar, 1 cup sifted pastry flour. 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat egg whites with a wire whip until frothy. Add cream of tnrtiir and salt, beating until the w hltes are stiff. Sift flour and sugar 4 or G times. Void sugar into egg whites, carefully. then fold in flour, sifting it in little at n lime. Work in flavoring and pour into an ungreased tube pan. Bake at 3 1 a derives ( low oven ) about 1 4 hours. Invest pan until cake, is cool. (iniliam Cracker Cake 'a cup butler or substitute. 1 H cups sugar, 3 eggs separated, 1 cup milk. 3 cups finely rolled graham crackers (about 3ti), Va teaspoon salt, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tcMspuou vanilla, 1 cup chopped walnuts. ! Crenin butter and sugar thoroly together, mid egg yolks unbeaten and mix them in. Add vanilla to 'creamed mixture. Stir baking pow- der and salt into the cracker I crumbs, then add dry ingredients alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture. Add nuts and beat well. Lastly fold in vrk whites j beaten stiff.
