Word was received from Hose
burg yesterday that final arranBe
nieute have be in completed for
11. Shrine picnic which will be
held on Sunday, July 21st, at Oak
drove park near RoseburK. This
annual event Is always largely at
tended by Suriners from through
out Southern Oregon and Northern
California.
' In making ut the program tills
. year greater aMeution has been
paid to the various entertainment
features. A greater range of utli
'iftio ovents in addition to the tra

i arranged and some well know
local Khriners have already gone
into secret training for the vari

events. The prizes and honors
awarded in iat picnics have al
ways aroused considerable com
petition and this year's program
promises to be even more keenly
contested. The fat men's race,
which last year developed a num
ber, of dark horses and which re
quired two special heats to decide
the winner, is already arousing
speculation as to the merits of the
various entrants.
As the picnic is earth year one
of the largest gatherings of its
kind attendance is limited to
Shriners and thoir families. Mem
bers of other temples visiting In
Southern Oregon or Northern Cal
ifornia are also eligible to attend
this feature event of the summer
