"The Grange radio hour on the
evening of June 7 will be one of
the largest hookups for agriculture
that has been worked out in recent
months. It will be given over tiie

Speakers on this program will be
Honorable Arthur Hyde, secretary
of agriculture; Senator Arthur Cap

ing members of contire.ss.
Grange speakers will be National
Master Tabor, National Lecturer
Farmer and Chas. M. Oardner, high

The program Is not intended for
the farmers of the Grange alone,

Wednesday evening, June 20, the
Eagle Point Grunge held a most
enjoyable community night, with
supper at 7:30 and full evening of
entertainment. ' There were over
00 Grangers and friends present.
und about l"a people enjoyed the
supper. ! rangers were present
from Central I'oint uud Jackson
ville Granges.
The program, which was light
and humorous, was thoroughly en-
Joyed. The officers had charge of
the numbers on the program, some
officers putting on their numbers
personally, und others by proxy.
The master. A. C. Alittelsteadt,
posed as a student of the great
"Herman." and entertained with
legerdemain. Mrs. Violet Spencer
aud .Mrs. Lulu Ward put on a short
comedy stunt. Mrs. YYcidman sang
two solos, one of which was the
German "Lauderbaeh." sung in
German. This was really quite a
stunt, for Mrs. Weidman is an Eng
lish woman, borne and bred, and
neither speaks nor understands
German. Rudy .Weidman sang two
tenor solos. Pearl . St o well ami
Alex Vestal, with the assistance of
someone's pet fox terrier, gave sev
eral harmonica numbers. Mr. Hat

Many wagers were placed on the
much advertised boxing match In
tween the master and Overseer Ted
Seaman. No one quite understand:
how either one was declared the
winner, as there was only one round
and neither one seemed to be
knocked out.
The only number that approach
ed tlie classical was a, viollncello
solo by the treasurer, C. F. Ouvies.
Mi. Pavles proved a master hand
with the Instrument for no one but
a master Hand could have pro
duced such music without even us
