Then came the colorful Circus wagons with . their gulden frames and myHterious enclosures blue, rod, . green, ; white K'very bolor under the sun was those wagons! , "I'll bet there's-tig'ers In there" ' ventured one small lad in an awed whisper to his companion. "And when 'thoy start letting them out r Tn order not tn nils-s any of the sights, the large crowd of boys and . girls of all ages, ran down the tracks along side the slowly mov ing train, and watched the long lino of cars break and switch on o different tracks at tho nort:i edge of town. .4 , Then, all of a sudden, the doors to all the 'curs on one-track, swung open, and out walked the elephants one after another, without any help at all. From other cars marched the proud white horses swarms of them it seemed all t:io same size and type.". Still further along, the camels emerged. These came from the box cars. The circus wagons rolled off the flat cars,, were hitched behind six and eight horse teams, and carried their secrets to the circus lot, on North Central avenue, beneatli the bulging eyes of 200 youngsters. They are -feeding on the foliage now hut will soon be large enough to injure the fruit. Growers who have Just put on a cover spray for the green fruit wor mor are putting one on may delay the first cover spray for cod ling moth-so that it will be on by June 1st. Those who have not put on the early spray and have no protection should have the codling moth cover spray on by May 26th.
