The Mark of
Genuine
Aspirin
BATES ASPIRIN is liko an old
friend, triad and true. There
can never be a satisfactory substi
tute for either one. Bayer Aspirin
is genuine. It is the accepted anti
dote for pain. Its relief may always
be relied on, whether used for the
occasional headache, to head-off a
cold, or for the more serious aches
and pains from neuralgia, neuritis,
rheumatism or other ailments. It's
easy to identify Bayer Aspirin by
the Bayer Cross on every tablet, by
the name Bayer on the box and the
word genuine printed in red.
IN PHIPPS ACTION

death of his son Frehlyn in a saw

case of Fred Middlebusher a gat hat

Yesterday's case hinged on the
contention of the plaintiff, claim

means of support of the family,

from the state ns long as either
of his parent lived. The Jury in
its verdict declared the boy had
not been of sufficient support to
the family for it to. receive extra
compensation.
In .his caso against Geary, rep

Dolores Cos (olio, something entire
ly new was sprung
when one of the meagerly clad,
pretty women dancers picked an
American tourist's pocket with her
bare leg and toes. The "Redeem
ing Sin" proved a splendid vehicle
in the way of enabling the charm
ing Dolores Costello, as a cafe
dancer, to display her acting ver
satility, with Conrad Nagel as her
leading man and Georgle Stone as
one of the likable band of thugs,
thieves and murderers with which
she associated. These three pos
sess some of the best talking voices
in the moving picture world.
But don't be frightened. The
chnrmlng Dolores, who is seen in j
an entlrly new characterisation for,
her. Is not so wicked in "The Re
deeming Sin," as most of her sin
fulness consisting of outbursts of
fiery temper in the opening cafe
scene, and Implied by her associ

"The Redeeming Sin" bears a
faint reminiscence In some respects
to tho "Seventh Heaven," in Its
underground sewor scenes beneath
Paris, and tho presence of clever

Miss Costello display many

gradually changing until thorough
ly reformed by her love of this
