A number of excellent songs, dances und other features were presented during the operetta. - As an extra feature between the two acta, Wood row Hhaver appeared us a duncer and singer and mado Al Jolson nshnmd of himself when It cornea to the "Hinging Fool." It was a real hit with tho audi ence A quartet sang and lirncst Lindgren sang "Mighty Like .a Rose." Another feature was mu nlo given before the operetta by Mrs. MelHingor's orchestra. j An exceptionally large crowd at-! tended the operetta and it was well enjoyed by all. H will probably be presented in some other town ' In the valley soon. i Neal Doty has been quite ill the past several days and has quit his work temporarily .with the Med ford Sand and Oruvel company. He 1h now rapidly improving. Within the last few days a num ber of improvements have been made, on the bridge across Rogue river just south of this city. The embankment on the south side of the bridge was recently built up and rock reinforced, witli concrete placed over the dirt so as to pre vent n slide on the atdc of the road. The bridge itnelf is also being gone over, ft is being polished and ro cleaned. A number of places on It where small pieces of concreto have been struck off are being cov ered with cement. Tho approaches on both sides aro being gravelled. Those operations have been keep ing tho highway commission crow quite bu.sy for tho pHHt week or so. Much interest is still being taken In tho recent Indian relic discov eries made by W, W. 1 little on hlfj ranch near this city.
