Born la Alba, Mliuouri, Harry
Crandall went to work for the
Ilarley Davison Motor company
when he was still in hia early
'teens, and entered the motorcycle
raclntr frame, tie with a Rioup of
other racers, made a circuit of the
united Staets, entering the meets
In different localities.
Following the war, h went into
the motor business In Phoenix,
Arizona, and - in 1923. be was
brought out to Hollywood as a
uoubte for Charles Ray in two
movies. And the aviator could
double for that movie star right
now without makeup. In the
Charles Ray pictures a number of I
motorcycle rnclnn thrills were re
quired. From then on, Crandall woa
uned steadily in motorcycle, auto
mobile and airplane thrillers, made
by tho various companies in Holly
wood. Finally he specialized In
airplanes alone, and for two years
his services wore passed around
irom fit ml I o to studio.
His stunt flyintr will be remem
bered in the "Cohens and Kellya
in Paris" . done by Universal;
"Mlac Timo" by First National;
"The Legion of the Condemned."
