the destruction of timber, lie also
mentioned the progress of the work
of fencing the watershed to keep
stock from coming into t,he re
stricled area. Mayor Thornton
stated that ho had found that oue
man on a committee can work
more efficiently i):nn many, so com
mittees for the coming year are
composed of one or two members.

year, in past and a new year has

least in thin section.
The Christmas entertainment
.Monday night, was well attended
and in spite of the prevailing flu
epidemic, was a .success in every
way.
The house and tree were taste
fully decorated with the usual over
greens and bright-colored, decora
tions, an emple supply of candy
nuts and present were on hand.
A rood program was carried nut
without a hitch, and, last but not
least, old Santa Clans appeared in
person, much to the enjoyment of
the kiddies and old folks as' well.
