On Thursday ulght at 7:30 the
Boy Scout court of honor V.1I1 be
convened at the court house. A
number of scouts have been work
ing for advancement during the
summer and will appear for rec
ognition at this meeting. It is de
sired that all those interested in
scouting attend the session.
Colonel Paine, who has been out
of the city for some time, has re
turned and his iiresence will aiM
the usual atmosphere of dignity
and enthusiasm to this meeting.
All will be glad to see him return
to officiate.
The scout masters are to hold
a dinner at the Hotel Holland at
6:10 Thursday nteut. It is planned
to organize a scout leaders' club
which will be a clearing house for
problems, new ideas and inspira
tion in the work of leading boys.
All interested are , Invited to at
tend. Applications for the court of
honor are due not later than Tues
day night in order to be eligible
for this session of tbe court of
honor and scouts are exacted to
turn in several applications in ad
dition to those already in by the
close of the day.
IN PLANE WRECK
FRAXKLIX. Fa., Oct. 23. (VP)
William Tafel, a post office inspec
tor, arrived here from Erie and
took charge of the charred ruins of
the air mail plane In which William
Hopson crashed to his death near
Polk last week, following reports
that souvenir hunters had found
between 60 and TO diamonds In the
wreckage. The diamonds were part
of the air mail cargo.
After the wrecked plane had
been abandoned hundreds of per
sons from Polk, Franklin. Oil City
and vicinity searched the ruins. One
Polk woman was reported to have
found 14 diamonds, another a dozen
and others leswr number.

Inquiry into the death of two baby
graudsons-of the late Ilenjamin
Guggenheim by falls from the roof
of the Hotel Surrey Friday after
noon has been ordered by Chief
Mciiical 'Examiner Charles Nnrris.

their mother. Mrs. Milton S. Wnlll
man. wife of un associate editor of
the Loudon Mercury and youngest
daughter of the copper magnate,
the two boys, Terrence, 4. and Ilen
jamin, 14 months, fell 13 stories
to the root of an. adjoining build
ing. Mrs. Whlilmnn told police tho
older boy was attempting to climb
into her lap and knocked the baby
from her arms, then lost his bul
nnce and followed his small bro
ther over the two-foot wall. She
has . been confined to a hospital
since the occurrence.
Dr. Xorris visited the scene of
the tragedy, made measurements
and marked the approximate posi
tion of the bodies.. ' .
"My investigation.'" he said,
"makes me (eel that it warrants an
inquiry and is best for all con
cerned that all the facts of the de
plorable tragedy be placed In the
official record."
Police have listed the two boys'
deaths as "accidental."
Mrs. Waldman recently returned
from abroad with the two children.
Her husband Is still in Kurope.
