Here Are Three Recent Cases From Our
Files Which Speak for Themselves
1 Treasurer of the Home Mission Board of a prominent denomination. Bond
$50,000. Shortage announced as approximately $1,500,000. Employed nine
yeais. Highly regarded in church, business and social circles.
2 Treasurer of the Foreign Mission Board of a prominent denomination.
Bond $25,000. Shortage $103,000. Employed 12 years. Shortage extended
over period of years and due to principal's living beyond his means. Sen-
. tenced to twenty years in penitentiary.
3 Auditor of a Compress and Warehouse Company. Bond $10,000. Shortage
' approximately $00,000. Employed sixteen months. Manipulated account.
Sentenced to ten years in penitentiary. Salvage nominal. Practically en
tire loss in excess of bond absorbed by employed.
The recent publicity given these and other cases of the kind in the press most
forcibly impresses upon the mind of practical business men the necessity
for fidelity insurance against loss caused by misappropriations of money and
securities by those in plates of trust. The fidelity bond also assures protection
to the honest employee against the dishonesty of fellow employees
you are an employer bond your employees now.
If you are an employee ask your employer to investigate
this very essential protection.
