There will be no preaching Sun day because the temporary pastor h attending tho conference and no one has been secured to fill tho vacancy for Sunday. Lloyd Hamilton and his sister, Miss Peggy Hamilton, encounter ed a serious accident while going to their work fn Medford last Fri day morning. The uccident, which was caused by Mr. Hamilton los ing control of his car, occurred near tho Joe Rader residence. Al though not traveling at a high rata of speed, the caiturned over onto the bridge guard at Anderson creek when he lost control of the car. MIrb Hamilton - was thrown clear of tho wreckage but Mr. Hamilton was pinned underneath the ear, which was badly wrecked. He re celyeaVa dislocated shoulderj sev eral torn ligaments, jn th&Tshoul dor and' other minor Injuries while, his sister . escaped uninjured ex cept for a. fow -scratches ,and; bruises and a bad shock. Mr. and- Mrs. Paul Quackenbush, who were also going to Medford, wore fol lowing close behind them. They stopped fend took -Mr, Hamilton and his sister to Medford, where they Immediately placed Mr. Ham ilton In the Community , hospital. Mr. Hamilton was able to return to his home Monday evening and is recovering from the Injuries and shock as, well as can be expected. . The Talent exhibit at tho county rair received honorable mention and a part of tho reward was given to the local Community club and Grange. The exhibit of tho Tal ent school nlso received honorable mention. There was a lot of work dono on tho exhibits and the com munity as a whole feels well re warded for tho efforts put forth to make It a success. The packing house nt the Iag tey cannery has laid off the crew of workers for tho rest of tho woek. A grader for apples Is. being Irstalled thlH week. Apple packing Is expected to be started the first of next week. Guy Hamilton was able to. re utrn to his work In Medford at the Tomlln Lumber company.
