Mrs. Renton Pool and daughter Miss Maudlo were in our city Fri day. W. D. Kuril hart passed away Thursday at bis home near t he old Sterling mine. Mr. Harnbarl was a former resident of Jack sonville and moved from here to their present home, u littlo over u year ago, Mrs. W. U. Venable Is employed at the lilalr granite quarry south of Ashland. She Is cooking for the crew of men there. Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Warden from M outcrop, Cal., are visiting with Mrs. Warden's sister, Mrs. AV. Belt, In Jacksonville and with rela tives In Medford. They are on their return trip home from Hay-; ai'd. Neb., where they have been visiting a sister of Mrs. Warden's. There is a large number of Jack sonville people attending the coun ty fair at Medford this week. Erie White left Tuesday evening on a business trip to Portland. .
