The MH outpoint' leiu-ra com prised self -addressed letters sent to the local postoffice for mailing today, hy collectors who are anxi ous to Ket the new air mail stump used on the first day the cheaper rales went Into effect. The 500 air mail letters, received in the city today from i'acific coast !ulnls were sent hy persons to local relatives or friends to com memorate the first day of the cheaper rales. Prom now on, due to lessened cost of sending, the usty of air mail Is expected to fast increase daily, as the ordinary letter and envelope only weighs an ounce, which can be sent for 5 cents.
