meeting of the lctUon convention
commission the many plans and
bids ot various detoratinn com
i panies were discussed and it was
decided to award the contract to
the American FlaB & Decorating
company of Portland. This con
tract calls for the decorating of 3t
whole blocks in the business dis
trict with special efforts at the
principal street intersections, also
the armory and Elks' temple wher
the legion convention sesvions will
he held. This wilt be augmented
by the Individual decorative efforts
of 'every local merchant and busi
ness institution and the whole en
semble is hound to attract much
favorable attention from the thous
ands of visitors who will be here
from all parts of the coast. As a
special feature the local legion post
is planning to sell a lai-'-ie number
of residence flas to home owners
throughout the city who wish to
decorate: their homes for this big
event' us well as future patriotic
holiday?.
