The first counting of votes in i the De Molay nueen contest re veals that Hoberta Stearns is lead ing with a total of 145 votes, closely followed by Edna Mno Wells with J 340 votes. Olive Lantis holds third place with 1110 votes and Edith Slump is fourth with 1030. The contest closes April 28. The winner will be sent to the state De Molay conclave at Salem May 4 and 5 and hhe will be the guest of the Salem Rainbow girls. At Salem, tho winner will enter a state qqueen contest, according to present plans. The votes are being sold for one cent each und the proceeds will go to pay the expenses of tho win ner, with tho exception of one third of thn amount, which will revert to tho local De Molay chapter.
