Hrown I and Miss Florence York, home demonstration agents; will have charge of this meeting. A model meal will )B served at 10 o'clock. Miss York will present all of the new and correct wayH of arrang ing a table for such a menl. The ladies of the club will provide the proper food for this meal, and it is hoped .that it will be possible for a large attendance. Mr. Wilton of Shade City was in this community Saturday on business. Horace Mitchell expects to leave for eastern Oregon soon. A group of Indies from the Christian church met nt the home of Mrs. T. A. Merryman on Fri day afternoon to make Kaster decorations for the church. . A birthday party in honor of .Mrs. s. K. Barnes and Ralph Atwood was given nt the Ilarnes home on Sunday, April 1. The guests began arriving nt 11:.10 with well filled baskets of good things to eat, and at 1 o'clock 24 guests were seated at a long table. The yearly meeting at the Feder ated church held lasL Thursday evening was Well attended, the bnsement of the church being filled. This being the end of the final year, reports from the differ ent department!! of the church in eluding Ladies' Aid, Missionary so ciety, Sunday school, cradle roll department, Young l'eople'H Kn deavor and church hoard were given. The new members of the church hoard elected were J. I. Burger ami ('has. tlezmathalch, the other members of the board consisting of Arthur Webster, Mr. Iavldson, Kurt Richmond nnd Dr. lleckman, were re-elected. Mr. Iverson of Medford, who is Presbyterian moderator, was pres ent. A nice new comforter made by the Ladles' Aid was presented by a few well chosen words by Mrs. Richmond to Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Johnson. A cafeteria supper formed one good feature of the evening nnd this was served from two long, well filled tables, one for the adults and the other for the chil dren. More missionary work has been accomplished the last year thiin ever before nnd it is hoped by nil concerned that next year will ex ceed this. Mrs. Clyde Hansen left Thursday for liutto Falls to make her hus band n short visit. She expects to return Sttturday. Mra. lluneugardt, the pinno teacher, who has been giving credit lessons this winter in town is planning to give a recital in the near future in Medford, in which she plans to combine her Central Point nnd Medford cla.ses.
