EAGLE PI GRANGE The county dairy meeting held under the uusplces u( the lecturer on Tuedsay night, .March 20, wa a very Interesting meeting. Tht number present was nut as Ihvkv us was expected, hut the Interest wuh keen throughout the pro gram. After u (eV introductory re marks by the lecturer, the iiu.-et-ing whh turned over to the county agent, It. (i. Fowler, who in turn, dfter u short lulk. turned it uvtr to those present m a round tabl ilttcuK8ion of the dairy product marketing situation. .Many uncles vt the situation were considered and, while no defintc steps for itnian'suition were undertaken, yet all felt Hint Hie meeting una a tiUccesM from an educational . lundpoint. Several grangers from Sams Yal'.cy were present. Sams Val ley grunge-re are always there when it comes to taking up mat ters of interest to farmers, and we know that when the time comes for organization, their sup port Ih sure. We are Kind to have hucU friendly, broad-minded neighbors in the S a m a Valley grange. The St. Patrick 'h dance given on the night of March 17 was very well attended and a good time was ' hud by all. The grange play, "The Spy," put on by the ways and means committee. . was pronounced by most of those present to he one of the best attractions ever put on In Eagle Point by homo talent. The plot was exceedingly inter esting and the ca.t remarkably guod, and there was a full house to appreciate it. Tho committee has been be nieged with invitations to put on the play at other towns in the valley. They will play at ilutte Fulls on Saturday, April lit, at 7:B0 p. in. Thursday night, March 23. the degree team put on the work of the third and fourth degrees with n class of 14. The grange keeps growing. No meeting but what eome new -members are taken in. Tho grange Ih a wonderful or ganization for farmers, teaching real co-operation. The grange is a wonderful factor in building up n community, binding the grl cultural people together in fra tnrnul ties,: developing community co-operation in education, recrea tion, community work of any kind as well as marketing and prac tical farm activities. Its teach ings develop higher Ideals, higher standard of living, and a com munity good fellowship w h 1 c h lightens labor and inspires to greater effort. Any farmer who does not have a membership in a grange is missing something worth while. HEIjP WANTED FKMAI.1Q WANTEIJ C'oinpplt'nt t.'lrl or woman for general hou.si'work. liox S.
