another shaking today.
The first shock, which was felt
at 8:30 a. ni.. lasted Beveral sec
onds and many said it was the
most snvera disturbance of the se
ries. Flvo or six shocks followed
during the next ten minutes.
No damage was reported, al
though the shocks were violent
enough to cause dishes and win
dows to rattle.

was perceptible for seven minutes.
The bulletin placed the quake at
about .'100 miles southwest of Mex
ico City.
Special dispatches from Ouxaca
said that severul houses were de
stroyed with numerous casualties,
the number of which is not known.
The quake also was felt In the
city of Veru Crui and in I'uehla,
but no tlumage was reported In
those cities.
