News has been received of the death of Mrs. Fannie Standard Win chell, who passed away November 3, nt her home in Eugene. Mrs. Wln chell spent her girlhood in Ashland find in well known here. Mr. Wlnchell in survived by a daughter, (Jail Max i Ino Wlnchell, by two sisters, Mrs. - Km ma "Wittcn and Mrs. Lea tint Grieve two nieces, Miss Ethel Standard of San Francisco and Mrs. L. F. Stanley of .Portland, and two brothers. L. M, Duncan of Portland and K. M. Dun ce.u, who lives In California. Mrs. G. W. hortridge and J. A. McClee'were hostesses on Friday afternoon at one of the most charm ing of the fall ittneheona. The affair was hold at the hlthia Springs Hotel and covers were laid for sixteen in tho small dining room. The table iippotntments were of unusual dainti ness, green candles glowed in silver candlonticks. and the centerpiece in deJcate yellow, blue, and pink in silver bowl gave the final touch of distinction.
