Mrs. Walter Hughes, who has been spending a couple of weeks visiting with friends asd relatives in the val ley, left her liome In lower California on Sundays J. M. Miss Marie Miller returned last week from a week's visit with friends in the northern part of the state. Many of our most public; spirited citizens nttended the formal opening of the new hotel at Ashland last week and were very enthusiastic over the fine hostelry. Many think It the best between Portland and Frisco. Phoenix Ladies' Aid met at the manse last Thursday, and a very en joyable time was had. These meetings are very pleasant socially as well as being a financial help In the church work.
