A report issued today by John Perrhi, federal reserve agent for the district composed of - states of the aciflc slope, stated that changes in the general business situation of the district during August were merely seasonal in character. The report went on to say: "Total volume of business and t ra d e decreased as compa red with .July, but was still above estimated normal expansion. Industrial .ac tivity continued and the volume of Industrial employment Increase, both a s no m pa red with one month a go and one year ago. There waa an in crease in demand for credit, both in reporting member banks and at tho reserve, bank, but funds continue available at (seasonally low rates.
