E ' FOR FAR WEEK Business men of Medford who will J he hosts to the large crowds thai will attend the Jackson County Industrial fair, to he held September 1 1 to I it, are planning to decorate their stores with flags, bunting and other trim mings to produce a Mardi Ciras effect The Jackson County Industrial fair is one of the big events on the year's calendar. In many respects it resem bles n mammoth department store in that It brings under one top all the products of the farm and the home. It is the community's show window. On display will be found the very fin est livestock, farm crops, the canning, baking and sewing activities of the women, and the work of the hoys and girls. It ts the one big event of the year in which everybody is interested. Livestock valued at thousands of dollars will be brought here for ex- hibii There will be fat hogs, sleek horses, cows wli h bulging udders, broad -back sheep, and poultry on show. Prizes are offered for the live stock exhibits. lioys and girls will come into their own at the fair. In fact, they will be a fair within a fair. The great work that has been done by club leaders will be visualized in the splendid ex- hiblts of the youngsters. Several of the children will not only enter live stock in t lie club competitions, but in the open clllssifcallons too. While the purpose of the fair Is to improve local agricultural conditions, the management has not overlooked the entertainment end of lis program. Many fine big attractions have been booked.
