AUTO ACCIDENT
Flv. nutq nccidents were part of'the
last week-enil events, four' itt which
were not serious, while the fifth near
ly spelled death for Dr. anil Mrs.
It. H. Johnson.
The Inner accident occurred yester
day afternoon one mile north of Rueh,
when the docto attempted to pass n
Reo truck driven by Jesse Itlchnrd-
son uf ciitrnl I'ulnl. Just nt the time
that a front tire-blew out. Due to the
loose gravel and the deflated tire, he
could not steer hla J-'orii coupe back
on Its side of tlie rond, and as a result
the truck struck the coupe broadside,
the Impact of which caused the doctor
and his wife to be thrown through Its
top. The truck ran into a ditch and
the Ford turned on its side.
Mrs. Johnson received a cut on her
elbow, which required two stitches.

In lota of 50 pounds 'or "more must
have the grade nnd name nnd nd-
dress of the grower stenciled on the
sack or container. In lots of ten
tons or more,' they must be state In
spected, in addition to the markings.
If a gi-ower or dealer sells n re-
InJIer BO pounds or mure of potatoes
without the grade and address being
marked on the s.iek, he Is liable for
n maximum fine of $100, or 30 days
jail sentence, or both.
Jf a retailer sells or offers to sell
a ctistomt't, 00 pounds or mora of
potatoes In a container not stenciled,
as above, he is also liable for lho
penalties.
If a retailer buys potatoes branded
nn No. l, .which are No. 2, the seller
Is guilty of misbranding and Is liable
to the penalties fixed by law.
If a retailer tjclls No. 2 stock to a
customer under brand of No. 1, or If
he sells In un branded sacks, he Is
guilty of a misdemeanor and liable
for tho pftnnlties fixed by law.
The Slate inspection Department
asks the retail dealers to co-operate
in the observance and enforcement of
the law. Compliance with it will work
out for the benefit of both the re
tniler' and his customers. The law
simply demands nn honest pack.

inspection Department to enforce
