To the heroism of his 11-yenr-olri son and the desperate effortH or his wife Fred Neimann todny owes hi life. Neimann was swimming .Monday evening in Island Lake, near here, when he was suddenly stricken with cramps. His young son Eugene was close to shore when he noticed his father's plight and swam to his rotrcue. While tho frantic mother watched from the beach the lad struggled shoreward with tho unconscious form of his father, then leaped into tho family automobile and drove madly for town and u doctor. Applying artificial means of respiration, Mrs. Neimann was rewarded after an hour's fight by seeing the life slowly returning to the bpdy of her husband. His eyes re opened as the sonroturned with med ical uid; ' Neimann is the proprlotor of an automobile firm here. OAKLAND. Aug. 12 A... 1U Olen Woodside, 15-year-old school hoy, died here yesterday shortly aft-j er taking poison. Earlier in the day his mother had reprimanded him forj failing to complete un errand.
