The af ternoon of that dny will be devoted to making a free physical examination of all children in the community under Bchool age. This examination not only includes weighing and measuring, but also dental, eye, ear, nose, throat, linnrt 'Itinera and IhnHu Avamlnailn The conference Is being arranged by ' the Rogue River Public Health asso-1 elation of which Mrs. Merton Stevens is chairman. As cnllUren up :o six years of age are entered for the ex amination, the attendance will proba bly be large. Mrs. Ella Mills has returned from her extended sojourn In southern Cali fornia. . Mr. and Mrs. II. C. Kmory and Mr. and Aks. Karl Hosier have gone to Portland to visit for some time. Mr. Kmory will return In a fortnight how ever to resume his duties in the First National. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence lAne are entertaining a number of old friends the past few days. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cunningham and daughter Mildred Ills of Willows, aClifornia arrived first and are leaving Monday They are formerly of Ashland, living here many years ago. While here, they, with Mrs. Iaiie, visited In Eugene. They go to Klamath Falls and eastern Ore gon, thence home, Mr. and Mrs. G. ,W. Stone of Hollywood are also j guests In the Lane home. They too are former residents of Ashland. The last named leave Sunday to continue their trip to Salem and Portland. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Miller have been enjoying the visit of aid friends dur- In gthe past week. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Ballard whose home Is now In Santa Cruz, but who were neighbors of the 'Millers in Sebastopol, Cal., years ago. have been spending some time with them.
