charge for outing trips or other purposes.

Greater Medford Club.
BAND CONCKRTS will be given by Regimental Bands at Camp Jackson
every evening.
JACKSONV1LLK HISTORICAL SOCIKTY will maintain most Interesting
exhibit of historic objects relating to the early life In this locality.
This attractive and Interesting display of th finest collection of this
character In the west will be shown ut the U. S. Hotel at Jackson
ville. .
KLKH CLUB will hold their entire club room and building for the use oj"
visiting Klks and National Guard Officers.'
INFORMATION. An information bureau will be maintained by tho Medford
Chamber of Commerce in their building located at Main and Front
Street. Accurate Information and directions will be available at
these booths to both members of the National Guard and the public
regarding nil events of interest and ways and means of getting
around the city.
SALVATION ARMY will operate canteen at their building nt 4th and Bartlctt
Streets at which place refreshments, coffee and doughnuts will be
supplied. Tables, writing material, pen, ink, etc., will be provided
with somo one in constant attendance to give information and
service,
THKATKRS AND MOTION PICTCRKS. Hunt's Crnterian and Rialto will
provide freo tickets to Knlisted men in uniform at Brigade Supply
Officers Quarters.
YOUNO WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION, 229 N. Barllett will keep
open house every afternoon and evening for Officers, KnliHted men
and their ladies. Tho ladies may use rooms for meetings and other
purposes.
GOLF GROUNDS. Tho Medford Golf Grounds will ho open for the use of
the Officers of the National Guard. American Legion Gqlf Club
will be open to all members of National Guard.
OTHER FKATURKS. The Doughnut Reserves of the Salvation Army and
Young People's Societies expect to-be on the firing line.
The Social Halls, Reading and Lounging Rooms of the Salvation
Army, First Methodist and First Baptist Churches will keep open
house during the encampment. Complimentary maiioncry and writ
' Ing materials on the tables at all times at these three Halls, as well
as nt a number of additional station on Main Street.
General Information and accommodation stations at the three halls
mentioned and tho Y. W. C. A, Tho Centrul Information bureau is
located at the Chamber of Commerce..

"I am confident that In a few
years a rocket will be perfected for
making a trip a la Jules Verne, from
the earth to tho moon," declared Dr.
Davis in an address before the 18th
