XValter Miksch has just been elected president of the student body at Lln tield college which he has been at tending for the past three years. Tho local paper has the following to say concerning his election: "Mr. Miksch, the new president, elected by a large majority .on. the first ballot, is with out question the best man in school for the position und well deserving of that honor. Ho is the son of Mr., and Mrs. L- Miksch of Ashland und enter ed Linfleld with a class of 2G. His record is an enviable one, and shows deep interest in student body affairs and activities. He has been a promin ent member of the glee club, having taken important pans In operettas presented in the last three years He is a member ofthe College Octette and made the recent trip throughout Washington with that body. He was president of the local Y. M. C .A., the last fiscal year, and president of hir, class last year, and president of his and a member of the Phi Kpsilon fra ternity. Miss JJernice Yeo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. II. Yeo, was presented Tuesday In her senior piano recital by John Stark Evans, in which she was unassisted except for Professor Kvans. Miss Yeo's work has attracted much favorable comment and her well known ability has given her great prominence in musical activities, par ticularly as an accompanist and piano' soollst. A wealth of flowers attested the appreciation of the large audience thut enjoyed the recital. Mr. and Mrs. Yeo, Everett Yeo, and Mrs. G. W. Gregg drove up from Ashland to be present on this occasion.
